This is the view from my old apartment in the Thai capital during a tropical storm. In the rainy season down pours like this were common. Bangkok is not a city to do things in half measures. The weather is only ever that of extremes, ferocious sunshine, or jet powered rain. It starts like God flicks a switch, comes down full pelt and stops just as quickly. There's no such thing as drizzle.
This photo sums up my memories of that time. I was living in a city of extremes. Things were either full throttle, or nothing at all. There wasn't much in between.
